We are pleased to announce the release of of Amazon Connect for Zendesk Application v2.7 which is a Maintenance release.

This release includes improvements and bug fixes.

  • prevented app error resulting in voice comment including call recording not being added to the ticket, which was due to agent’s system clock being out of sync (behind). Also implemented a warning notification to the agent.

  • fixed a couple of minor bugs occurring in some scenarios when outbound dialling from a Zendesk ticket or user.

  • implemented a workaround for missing onAccepted event. This event should be raised by the Connect server when a contact is accepted by an agent (or auto-accepted by Connect). In some scenarios, most likely during times of poor networking connectivity, this events are not received by the browser, resulting in unpredictable behaviour of the app. Implemented workaround enables graceful recovery of the app and normal ticket creation and assignment.

  • implemented workaround for orphan processing tab. An orphan processing tab issue arises when the app or browser session ends abruptly (crash, power failure, etc.) and app has active contacts - note, this includes after call work status. As the app reloads it still has the old browser tab id as the processing tab and thus skips the creation of tickets. The implemented workaround detects this condition and removes the orphan tab reference. At the same time this improvement also makes the app much more robust when handling multiple open browser tabs hosting Zendesk and the app.

  • fixed incorrect time-in-queue values on page reload

  • fixed unsuccessful user search with local phone numbers in chat contacts
